Athletics at PFA

For the past 14 years, Pine Forge Academy has participated in various competitive sports as a member of the Penn-Jersey Athletic League. Over the years, we have competed in cross country, tennis, soccer, baseball, and varsity/junior varsity basketball – winning the basketball championship in 2004 and 2008. For the 2013-2014 school year, our sports line-up includes soccer, basketball, and track & field.

The soccer team soared to great heights this year under the leadership of Head Coach Jaymie Pottinger (Head Dean of Young Men) and Wayne Henry (Chair, Math Department), finishing first in their division and earning a semi-final playoff spot in the league.

The basketball season started with our lady falcons, coached by Stewart Jenkins (Science Instructor/Librarian), having an impressive start with a current overall record of four wins and zero losses, with two of those games being league games.  The varsity team, coached by Eric Cantrell (PE Instructor), and the junior varsity team, coached by Tim Privette (class of ’92), began their season on December 12, 2013.  You can stay updated on the progress of our athletic teams by visiting our Athletics page under Student Life.

We continue to encourage and pray for our young men and ladies as they use their God-given intellectual and physical gifts and abilities to bring honor and glory to His name.
