PFA Choral Ensemble Participates in WAU Choir Fest 2017

February 8-11, Pine Forge Academy was among seven academies within Columbia Union Conference to participate in the slated choral festivities hosted by Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland.

The ably Dr. James Bingham, WAU’s Music Department Chair and festival conductor, conducted the disciplined 140 plus voice choir and orchestra during music clinics.  Performances on Friday evening and Sabbath were held at Spencerville Seventh-day Adventist Church and Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church respectively.

Sarah-Ann Davis, a junior, was one of four music festival recipients awarded a $3,000 scholarship from Washington Adventist University for her dedication, outstanding performance, and participation in the 2017 Academy Choral Fest.

PFA Choral Ensemble attendees were: Clifford Fields, senior; Sarah-Ann Davis, junior; Rachelle Mason, senior; Jared Scott, senior; Lincoln Liburd, junior; Emerald Austin, junior; Makya Davis, senior.   The students were accompanied by: Dr. Andrew Marshall and Mrs. Vanessa Wilson.
