Religion/Industrial Arts

A native of Durham, North Carolina, Lawrence Perry, Jr. serves as Religion and Industrial Arts Instructor. He comes with a B.S. degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and M.Div. degree from Andrews University.

Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Lawrence served as a social worker for the Bureau of Social Services in Richmond, Virginia for 17 years.

In 1993, he accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy (originally as Dean of Men) with the hope of teaching the youth to serve as Christ did. Beyond his primary role as Religion and Industrial Arts Instructor, Lawrence also serves as Community Service Director.

Outside of Pine Forge Academy, Lawrence has conducted Daniel and Revelation seminars; worked in crusades in Missouri and Pennsylvania; organized a community boys club in Virginia; taught Sabbath School for 20 years; and has also served as head elder, superintendent of Sabbath School, and a literature evangelist.
