Mathematics

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Norman N. A. Niles serves as Chair of the Mathematics Department. He comes with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education from Morehouse College. Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Niles completed two years of Doctoral study at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.

In 2005, Niles accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of inspiring young minds on his way to the seminary. However, God’s call here has continued for many more years than Niles had originally intended – “His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways…” - Isaiah 55:8

Beyond his primary role as Chair of the Mathematics Department, Niles is also a member of the Technology Specialist Team, Standardized Test Prep Team, and coaches the Golf Club. He is also a full-time graduate student at Villanova University in pursuit of his Masters degree in Mathematics.
