Senior Seating 2017

Class of 2018

On Friday, September 15, 2017 the “Auspicious” Class of 2018 participated in a traditional PFA event called Senior Seating. This rite of passage was officially started by Pastor Joel Johnson in the late 1990’s. Vice Principal Fielder says this occasion is the “first milestone on the path of awareness of your new senior responsibilities.”

The senior class formed a grand procession and proudly signed their names in the legendary Senior Seating book. The speaker for the evening was Pastor Ronald Edmonds who presented a message entitled “Go Get Me Some Water”. Pastor Edmonds referred to the senior class as the special forces in God’s army, and instructed them that when they leave the hallowed grounds of Pine Forge Academy it will be their duty and their mission to go out into the world and do the work that God has commanded them to do. Pastor Edmonds told the senior class that the mission will sometimes take them into places that they don’t want to go, but they must follow in order to reach those who truly need the salvation that God has promised.

The service concluded with a charge to the senior class. They promised to uphold the standards of Pine Forge Academy, to always follow God’s plan, and to never dwell in the realm of mediocrity.
