SPARKS: Deck the Doors Holiday Decorating Contest

The hum of the holiday cheer can be heard throughout the historic grounds of Pine Forge Academy. The trimmings within Wagner, Handy, and Kimbrough Hall are echoing, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”

The sweet smell of pine, bells, blinking lights, snowflakes, reindeer, snowmen, chimneys, fireplaces, stars, angels, wreaths and the melodious tunes playing in the atmosphere are all indicators of Jesus being the Reason for the Season.

A recent challenge for each classification was to trim their homeroom doors in their best creative Christmas décor. The competition grew more intense over the days as there could only be one winner.  However, in this instance, two were named:  The Iridescent Senior Class of 2016 and the Freshman Class of 2019.

As we continue to look forward to the coming of our Risen Savior, and as advertisements continue to blight our television screens in preparation for Christmas on December 25th, we are reminded of the Savior’s birth, yet the coming of our Risen Savior, Jesus, is the euphoric gift we are anticipating beyond this festive season.

May God’s blessings shine down upon you and your family this holiday season. Sending love from the PFA family to yours.
