Welcome to Student Life!

The mission of the Office of the Dean of Students is to oversee the students' housing, social activities, spiritual and leadership development while at Pine Forge Academy. It is here where you define your academy experience outside the classroom, so choose to get involved and prepare for the best years of your life!

Pine Forge Academy offers every student who is serious about his or her purpose in life valuable opportunities and challenges. As with any other organization there are rules and guidelines which are important to its success. This link provides you with the policies of the Academy.
A large number of our students live on campus. Each residence hall is a place where you can unwind, study, talk to friends, listen to music, play games, wash laundry, find time to be by yourself or take time to repose in spiritual reflection. In other words, it is your home away from home.

The residence halls are also the place where lifelong friendships are forged. Living with fellow classmates from a wide variety of backgrounds, talents and interests makes the dorm "a learning lab" - a place where the appreciation of new people, new things and new ideas harmoniously reside. The trained resident dean and assistant deans are available for counseling, advising, organizing events, and communicating student needs to the Dean of Students.

Kimbrough Hall
Designated as the girl’s residence hall. It has room to house 75 girls. The dormitory has several specialty rooms, including a multi-purpose room, television/exercise room, and a laundry room.

Handy Hall
Designated as the boy’s residence hall. It has room to house over 90 boys. The dormitory has several specialty rooms, including a multi-purpose room, television/exercise room, chapel room, and a laundry room.
Students will also encounter a program that encompasses a variety of events and activities to get involved in helping local and global communities that are in need of physical and spiritual help.

The past international mission trips have taken our students to numerous locations including Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Trinidad, and Barbados where the students helped clean up, build, and/or paint churches, hospitals, and schools. These rewarding experiences have also included students participating in Vacation Bible Schools, choir and creative arts performances, and preaching the gospel.

Our local  mission trips have included visiting and performing for residents in nursing homes; packing care bags for Katrina victims; tutoring children in low income areas; distributing food and clothing to the homeless in Philadelphia; and joining Pottstown citizens in cleaning up local parks and grounds around recreation centers.

Pine Forge Academy students are required to perform a minimum of 25 hours of community service each year. Most students perform many more hours than what is required.
The Campus Ministries program provides daily, weekly, and special events specifically structured to meet the spiritual needs of our students and the community outreach services. The chaplain, church pastor, faculty, and deans are all available to the students to pray and counsel with them and study the Word of God together.
Interscholastic sports at Pine Forge Academy form part of a diverse extracurricular activities program. The activities are an important part of the educational experience of our school. Pine Forge has been a member of the Penn-Jersey Athletic League since 1998. Our competitive sports program involves the students in the following sports:

Fall Sports
Co-ed Cross Country
Girls' Tennis
Boys' Soccer

Winter Sports
Boys' Basketball
Girls' Basketball

Spring Sports
Boys' Baseball
Boys' Tennis

Our school's dedication to excellence extendes to our competitive athletic program. The students develop physically and socially as well as academically. In order for a student to participate in a sport they must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.
Our Choir and our Creative Arts make it possible for every student to find a way to help others and nearly every student does. These groups serve as ministries to the community and across the world spreading God's love and the Gospel through music and drama.
The academy calendar is filled with a variety of social events and activities that include day trips such as Dorney Amusement Park and Longwood Gardens; weekend activities that can include hiking to Bald Head Mountain, roller skating, ice skating, bowling, swimming, miniature golfing, going to a Philadephia 76ers' basketball game; and formal affairs that include the Christmas banquet planned by the Girls Dorm Club, Sweetheart banquet planned by the Boys Dorm Club, and Junior Senior Banquet planned by the junior class.
