A native of Panama City, Panama, Tunichah Buttler serves as an Assistant Dean in Kimbrough Hall. She comes with a master’s degree in Social Work, attained from Alabama Agriculture and Mechanical University, located in Normal, Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, attained from Oakwood University located in Huntsville, Alabama. Preceding matriculation from Oakwood University, Ms. Buttler received her high school diploma from Carlmont High School located in Belmont, California.
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Tunichah Buttler served as an Assistant Dean of Women at Mount Vernon Academy in the Ohio Conference for two years (2013 until the closing of the institution in the summer of 2015). Prior to this call, she served as Enrollment Management Recruiter at Oakwood University for five consecutive years in South Central Conference. Tunichah Buttler’s work experience ranges from working with at risk youth at Three Springs New Beginnings, Recreational Leader at YMCA, Team Director at N.Y.S.P, including her internship experience as a Case Worker for New Beginnings Single Parents Resource Center at Oakwood University, Crisis Services of North Alabama, Hope Place Shelter for Women and Children, and Harris Homes for Children.
In 2015, Tunichah Buttler accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of utilizing her professional experience, integrated with her passion for students to inspire them to dream and empower them to become great.
Beyond her primary role as Assistant Dean, Tunichar Buttler also assists with campus photography and the culinary arts program.
