PFA is very proud of its rich heritage. In 1946, then-Pine Forge Institute opened its doors and welcomed a class of 90 students honored today as “The Pioneers.” Its beautiful campus resides on property purchased for $46,000 from the family of Thomas Rutter, an abolitionist iron miller. Fun Fact: Originally, the property was deeded to him by William Penn in the early 1700s.

The National Pine Forge Academy Alumni Association (NPFAAA) and the Pine Forge Academy Foundation (PFAF) are committed to constructing the Paul R. Jones Center for Innovation and Leadership in partnership with the Academy. This building will not only honor the life and contributions of a beloved teacher and former principal, but it will also provide a space for students to learn, create, engage, and explore.

Well, it’s finally happening! Handy and Kimbrough Hall are undergoing major renovations! The bathrooms of old are no more! Check out the changes so far.
The Academy can’t thank the Alumni Association enough for gifting it with a new 25-passenger bus! It is fitted with sports leather interior and even a built-in movie screen! Now local and long-distance choir trips are possible.
